Student Union

The Student Union of the Faculty of Health Studies is a non-partisan, non-political and representative body of students that protects students’ interests, participates in the governing bodies of the Faculty of Health Studies and is a member of the Student Union of the University of Rijeka.

The Student Union of the Faculty of Health Studies was established on 19 November 2014. The Student Union of the Faculty of Health Studies consists of twelve members with voting rights and two members without voting rights.

Members with voting rights are representatives and deputy representatives of students of the following study programmes: university graduate study programmes of the Faculty of Health Studies, physiotherapy, medical laboratory diagnostics, midwifery, radiological technology, nursing. Members without voting rights are: the student ombudsperson of the Faculty of Health Studies and the representative of professional undergraduate study programmes in the Student Union of the University of Rijeka.

Members of the Student Union of the Faculty of Health Studies are elected in student elections held every two years.

Kruno Topolski, a third-year student of the professional undergraduate study programme in Physiotherapy, was elected as the first president of the Student Union of the Faculty of Health Studies.
