The entire publishing activity of the Faculty is carried out in accordance with the Regulations on Publishing Activity of the Faculty and the Procedure for Faculty Publications which define the basic principles of publishing activity at the Faculty, including publishers, types of publications, publication criteria, responsible bodies, publication procedures, collection, storage and visibility of publications, while respecting publishing practices in the field of biomedicine and healthcare.

The publishing process is managed by the Publishing Committee (for all publications) and the Committee for Teaching and Students (for educational publications), which are responsible for assessing the quality of content and controlling the final form of publications.

The Library for Biomedicine and Health of the Faculty of Medicine in Rijeka participates in the Faculty’s publishing activity through administrative support, sales of publications, and translation and proofreading services.

The Committee for Teaching and Students consists of five members. Three members are representatives of teaching staff in scientific-teaching and teaching positions, and two members are student representatives.

The Committee supervises the organisation and delivery of teaching in all study programmes conducted at the Faculty of Health Studies. Its tasks include collecting teaching plans, reviewing them, suggesting corrections, approving them, and ensuring their timely publication on the Faculty’s website.

Members of the Committee review proposals for new elective courses, assess and approve the need for issuing teaching materials, and forward approvals to the Faculty Council for adoption.

The Committee meets several times a year, and sessions may be convened more frequently if necessary. In cooperation with student representatives, it analyses teaching processes and ensures the quality and improvement of studies at the Faculty.
