Purpose of mobility
Teaching activities for academic staff and professional development/training for academic and non-academic staff. A combination of teaching and training is also possible.
Teaching mobility allows academic staff of higher education institutions to teach at a partner institution abroad. Staff mobility for teaching may take place in any field of study / academic discipline.
Professional development/training supports the professional development of academic and non-academic staff through training abroad (excluding conferences) and job shadowing/training at a partner institution or another relevant organisation abroad.
Duration of mobility

Training mobility must last at least 2 days and a maximum of 60 days (excluding travel days).
The activity must be carried out continuously and may not be interrupted unless justified.
Mobility may be extended up to a maximum duration of 2 months if sufficient financial resources are available.
Teaching must include at least 8 hours per week (or for any shorter stay).
If teaching is combined with training, the minimum teaching load is reduced to 4 hours.
If mobility lasts longer than one week, the minimum number of teaching hours in an incomplete week must be proportional to its duration.
Formal requirements
Teaching mobility is carried out exclusively on the basis of inter-institutional agreements between institutions holding an Erasmus Charter.
An inter-institutional agreement is not required for training mobility, but if conducted at a higher education institution, that institution must hold an Erasmus Charter.
